At The Rough House we offer any individual, no matter their age or level of physical capability, the tools necessary for them to be able to accomplish any fitness goal they have. From being able to complete their first Spartan Race or Tough Mudder, to losing a few lbs. and fitting into that old dress from college, our training staff has the knowledge and instruments to get you there.

 

Personal Training

Looking to build strength, lose pounds, and feel better? The Rough House offers personal training with multiple years of experience working with clients of all ages and capabilities.

Our programming takes cues from top weight loss, muscle building, and athletic training programs. Our approach starts with the basics and slowly builds from the ground up. We don't believe in fixating on one form of exercise. To us, it's not about running the fastest 5K or lifting the heaviest weight. In order to get in the best shape possible, you need to engage in multiple types of training, such as stability, endurance, strength, power, and performance. Partner training

Do you need a little extra motivation or financial support from a family member or friend? Did a buddy talk you into signing up for one of those crazy races and you’d like to train for it together? Then partner training may be for you. Get the same intensity and detail-oriented workouts but with a partner in crime.

Small group Training classes

Like personal training, there should be a purpose to group training. Sweating and being tired is not a safe and effective approach. Group training should be about more than completely exhausting yourself. Classes shouldn’t be filled with so many people that the instructor can’t attend to everyone equally. Our small group classes are all constructed with a specific intention in mind. We offer HIIT, core, yoga, and weight lifting group workouts with no more than 8 people in a class. That means more hands on guidance from an instructor and less of a chance of you falling behind. Stop getting lost in the shuffle of huge group classes and do more than just make yourself sore. Online Training

Do you live a little too far from us or can’t fit personal training into your budget? For anyone still looking for guidance, we’ve got you covered. Our virtual personal training packages allow you to work with a trainer via FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype or The Rough House At-Home program provides clients with weekly workouts with video demonstrations and phone calls to answer questions and offer diet and other healthy lifestyle tips. Sign up for just online coaching, or choose our “Online + 1 PT” option that includes one in-person 1-on-1 session.

We also write full programs that can be picked up from the gym or sent via email. Just tell us your goals and how long you’d like the program to be.

The Rough House offers private 1-on-1 yoga sessions with our resident yoga master, Derek Johnson. Derek brings 19 years of yoga experience and is known for his strong, slow, vinyasa style that blends elements of Pilates, ballet, and Tai chi for the perfect balance of functional strength, mobility, and flexibility.

assisted stretching

The Rough House offers assisted stretching sessions with licensed stretch therapist and personal trainer, Eric Schuda. Eric’s passion for human physiology and body mechanics makes him the ideal person to assist you when stretching by yourself just isn’t enough.
